The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
